Everyone has questions about almost anything. Here, we'll attempt to answer your questions about the Game Server and related items. If your question does not appear here, contact us with the question, and we'll get back to you with the answer!

Games

Q: I looked at your Supported Games list and the game/mod I want isn't on there!
A: Our supported games list is just a small selection of the games we can host. If you want us to host a game that isn't on the list, please contact us with the game/mod name and how many slots you are interested in renting.

Q: Why do some games cost more per slot than others?
A: Some games use more resources than others, and thus we must price appropriately. For example, Half Life 1 cooperative play mod Sven Coop will use more CPU and Memory than Counter Strike 1.6 as not only must the server keep track of players, it must also control the AI.

Q: Can I upload my own custom maps, models etc?
A: Yes! We give you full FTP access to your server so you can upload custom items to your server. However, your server directory must not exceed 7GB total size (you're unlikely to hit this!)

Q: Can I install Mani Admin Mod / SourceMod etc?
A: Using our control panel you are able to install many popular mods, such as Mani Admin Mod and SourceMod with just a few clicks. This saves having to upload them yourself. If there is a mod you want installed that we don't have on our Mod Installer, you can request that it be added.

Q: Do I get a control panel?
A: Yes! We provide you with a full control panel, if you want more information about it have a look at the control panel information page

Q: How long does setup take?
A: We now offer instant setup, so that once you have paid for your server, the setup process will begin. Once this has completed, you will receive an email with your server details. Setup is done as fast as possible, but for large games such as Synergy, it can take upto two hours. Smaller games, such as San Andreas Multiplayer, are generally setup within 1 minute!

Q: Do you set up test servers?
A: Usually we only set up test servers if there is no public server for your game. To see a list of all the public servers we host, see list of public servers. If there isn't an available public server for your game, please contact us and we should be able to set up a test server, which you will be able to use for a few hours, more then enough time to see if our servers meet your needs.

Payment

Q: What payment methods are there?
A: Please see our Payment Methods page for more information on the payment methods we have available.

Q: Can I pay for multiple months at a time?
A: Yes. You may choose to pay monthly or quarterly (every 3 months). You can also setup a subscription on paypal so that the payment is automatically taken. You can also add credit to your account so that invoices are paid from this credit automatically when they are due.
