History

December 2007 - I get frustrated looking for someone to host a Half Life 2 mod. All hosts say they won't support it since they have no knowledge of how it works. Only way to get the mod hosted is to rent a dedicated server, with plenty of spare room for other games to be hosted. Research is done and an idea is formed.

Early January 2008 - A dedicated server is rented, setup of KINGJ.NET Game Servers begins, preparing systems such as this website, game servers and the web control panel. Intensive testing takes place ensuring that our systems are ready for the heavy demands of Game Servers and their users (the testing was a lot of fun, I can assure you!)

Mid January 2008 - Launched! All systems in place and KINGJ.NET Game Servers opens for business with excellent pricing and wide game support, including support for those obscure 3rd party mods that can be hard to find servers for!

May 2008 - Migration to a new, much more powerful server. The migration went without a hitch and minimal customer downtime. All customers where kept fully informed through the process and many praised us for how well the operation went. This migration helped secure the future of KINGJ.NET Game Servers after a period of rapid (and continuing!) customer expansion.

Early June 2008 - Google Checkout offered as a payment method. Google Checkout allows us to get customer servers up and running faster than with PayPal and gives a better experience for us and the customer. PayPal is still offered as a payment method as Google Checkout cannot use a bank account (Credit or Debit card only) as a payment method.

Late June 2008 - A new server is added, based in Texas, US this is our first foray into the US market. Starts by offering San Andreas Multiplayer servers only with a maximun of 50 slots.

Early November 2008 - A new control panel and billing system is launched offering users greater control and convenience over their server, but perhaps most importantly offering instant setup on every game

The Future - Help us decide as a customer!
